  • How do I request a chat?
    To request a chat, you must first finish the sign-up process. Once complete, you can go to the 'Chats' tab and press the plus sign (+) in the top right corner. This will prompt you to select the topic of conversation. Once this is selected, you can press 'Next' and we will do the rest! All you have to do is wait for a Helper to accept the chat request. Once this happens, you can confirm the Helper and your 20-minute conversation will begin!
  • What is included in Resources?
    In the 'Resources' tab, you will find three different components: Resources Near Me: Direct links to resources: In Your Community In Your City Emergencies Wellness Content: Blogs and Articles written for your specific topics, as well as general wellness content. You can save and share all content posted in this section. Platform Guide: Guide to help you navigate all the platform has to offer!
  • How do I edit my preferences?
    On Peerzle, you can edit your preferences in your 'Account Settings' in the 'Profile' tab. These preferences include: Mental Health Topics Preferable time of conversation Availability to help other users dealing with similar issues Prefer to talk with the same gender Prefer to talk in native language
  • What do I do in the case of an emergency?
    If you are in crisis: Peerzle is a peer-to-peer support community for casual conversations, and is not meant for emergency situations. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services (911) or one of the services below: 1-800-273-8255 (Suicide Hotline) Text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line) More+ If you encounter another user in crisis: If it happens during a conversation, immediately report the user by pressing the menu button in the top right corner and pressing 'Report User.' Next, select the reason you believe they are in crisis. This will notify us of the situation, and we will be able to reach out to them to provide them with additional emergency or professional resources.
